I am Jack's Damaged Lungs..!!

It’s the ‘World No Tobacco Day’ tomorrow.

Simply put, it’s a day when a section (tobacco-hating majority) of the world population will get a reason to reassure themselves that their opinions, beliefs and point of views are, by some crooked logic, “right” and that of the other section (tobacco-loving minority) are “wrong”.

Not that we, of the tobacco-loving minority, could care any lesser. We are just happy that we still can smoke all we want (let the morons say and think whatever they want, we say, we are gonna smoke and die an early death, the way we love!).

Anyway, I’m not here to indulge in this age-old debate; I don’t ever care what others think. I believe in ‘Live & Let Live’, the only truth Mr. Gandhi ever uttered.

To be or not to be (a sucker of cigarette),

Has never been a question for me.

The reason I’m here is something else.

I’m here ‘coz a certain crappy-midget-VJ on MTV brought to my TV screen today some scientific proofs that cigarette smoke contains AMMONIA (as if we don’t know that, and as if other fumes in cigarette smoke aren’t enough to scare away the smokers, and ammonia will do the trick).

Now the curious thing is that he never once said that you shouldn’t smoke because ammonia is harmful for your body. He thrust a bottle of toilet-cleaner in a bystander’s nose and told him that he shouldn’t smoke ‘coz it contains ammonia, which is apparently a component of that toilet-cleaner too.

‘Would you ever smell a toilet-cleaner?’ he asked ‘If not, how can you smoke a cigarette?!’

Wow! Now that’s some logic!

‘If your shit starts talking, would you ever listen to what it has to say?’ I asked myself ‘If not, how can you listen to what this guy has to say?!’

I switched off the TV.

I’d rather be with my computer, at least it never tells me what to do and always (almost!) does what I tell it to…
